This gorgeous fountain pen has been designed by Montblanc as part of the Meisterstück Around the World in 80 Days (AW80D) collection. AW80D was written by Jules Verne and it tells the story of Phileas Fogg, a wealthy British gentleman, and his newly employed French valet, Passepartout, attempt to circumnavigate the world in 80 days on a £20,000 wager set by his friends at the Reform Club.
The cap and barrel have each been crafted out of translucent lacquer. The blue translucent lacquer represents the sea and the milled embellishments represent ocean waves, card suits and a steamboat. This LeGrand Solitaire fountain pen is a great choice for someone who is a travelling enthusiast. The platinum-coated clip features a black lacquered ace of spades at the base. The clip can be engraved for free of charge on the day of purchase. The sophisticated nib has been crafted out of 18 K bi-colour gold. The engraving on the nib features a hot air balloon and the start and end dates of the journey (London 02.10 to Bombay 20.10).
Upon purchase, this elegant LeGrand Solitaire fountain pen will be presented inside a bespoke gift box that we can plaque engrave and gift wrap on the day of purchase. This LeGrand Solitaire fountain pen is a piston fountain pen and requires Montblanc ink to be refilled.
