This Limited Edition Amedeo Modigliani Fountain Pen has been created by Montegrappa as part of their Genio Creativity collection. A collection designed to celebrate those who change our perceptions of the world through art. The neat lines pay homage to his search for plasticity. The oval-shaped barrel and cap represent the faces of his portraits, the clip is long and uneven much like his noses, the cap ring has the irregular shape of the lips, making this artists creation a writing reality.
Modigliani’s distinctive feature, the firm and vibrating brushstrokes that marked every painting of his, have been reproduced within the marbled resin coating along the cap and barrel, the deep blue colour is prominent in many of his portraits and is complemented perfectly by the rose gold trim. The excellence of his contribution to the history of art lies in the 18 karat gold nib engraved with one of his famous faces. The cap of the pen identifies the collection with the Montegrappa logo and the solitary stone, a symbol of the uniqueness of Modigliani's genius - in this case, a diamond.
