Since 1913, the Japanese Family Company, Tombow, have been the manufacturers of high quality and reliable writing instruments. Founded by pencil manufacturer Harunosuke Ogawa, the company still remains in family hands and stands for values such as consistency and tradition.
At the start of the 20th century, Japan was quickly becoming a modernised state, with an increasing demand for quality writing instruments. When English became a compulsory language on the curriculum, demand increased rapidly for pencils and such, for the simple reason that traditional brushes were not suited to producing Latin characters. Tombow products quickly became a staple of all Japanese households, and since then, almost every Japanese schoolchild has grown up with Tombow products for the past 100 years.

We offer Christmas wrapping for the festive season, for birthdays and other special occasions we have a choice between lilac and silver paper with bow and greeting card, so you needn’t worry about getting everything wrapped in time, that's our job. You may also prefer a handwritten tag, completed with your requested message and written on premium quality paper.
