A timeless piece made from durable Pernambuco wood, this classic fountain pen with platinum-plated metal trimmings is made from 18-karat gold with an iridium metal tip. The metal parts of the pen are hard and resistant against oxidising, with the material complementing the Brazilian wood perfectly. This fountain pen is part of the classic range and it sits comfortably in the hand with well-engineered mechanisms and robust details. There is a handy solid metal spring-loaded clip near the top of the pen which is ideal for slipping into a shirt pocket or pen case. Along the barrel of the pen are small vertical grooves carved into the wood for both added design and grip. The nib is protected by a cap which can be removed simply when in-use. Additionally, the Graf von Faber-Castell name has been engraved around a ring beneath the clip part of the pen for subtle branding which also highlights authenticity. Each of the pens is unique due to the natural differences in Pernambuco grain and colour.
