The fountain pens, rollerball pens, propelling pencils, and ball pens in the Graf von Faber-Castell collection are designed as matching sets and are available in several variants. The collection makes use of three precious types of wood, with Pernambuco normally being used for violin bows, and with the ebony and granadilla variants being extremely hard and durable. The natural variations in grain and colouring make each writing instrument unique. The platinised fountain pen, rollerball pen, propelling pencil, and ball pen, are available with a purely platinised surface or a combination of platinised and wood. Interestingly, platinum has a hard and resistant surface that does not oxidise, and is more valuable than gold. The propelling pencil uses break-resistant 0.7mm leads of hardness B with a reservoir for spare leads, and beneath the removable cap is a replacement white eraser.

There is a small selection of fonts which will contain different character designs, and you may not like or approve of some of them. For example, in one of the fonts 'Victoria', the letter 'V' looks similar to a letter 'D' because of the italic serif design. Once an item has been engraved we cannot refund or exchange it, because we will not be able to resell an engraved item.
