This timeless Montblanc ballpoint pen has been designed to commemorate John F. Kennedy who was one of the most revered figures in modern history. He spent time in the U.S. Navy, the Apollo space programme and mostly known as American politician who served as the 35th president of the United States of America. JFK was sadly assassinated in Dallas, Texas by Lee Harvey Oswald who was later arrested for the crime however was never prosecuted due to his murder by Jack Ruby. Many believed he was a victim of conspiracy. This fountain pen by Montblanc has been created in his memory.
This special edition ballpoint pen has symbolic and design references to his life and career. This pen has been crafted from Bordeaux red precious resin which symbolises Kennedy’s famous Ivy League style and is inspired by his time at Harvard University. The ballpoint pen has a twist mechanism around the centre of the pen which is where three bands made from 14k gold-plated metal represent Kennedy's three brothers. There is a matching clip on the side of the cap part of the pen which is engraved with 'JFK' his initials in the famous Ivy League style; the clip is great for securing into a pen sleeve or pocket. On the side of the clip is where the unique serial number can be found engraved faintly into the gold-plating. The Montblanc emblem is featured embedded into the top of the cap marking the peak of the Montblanc Mountain and the Montblanc brand name has been engraved faintly into the final ring around the bottom of the cap for subtle branding purposes. On the day of purchase the Montblanc JFK ballpoint pen will come packaged inside a bespoke John F. Kennedy presentation box accompanied with a two year warranty certificate found at the back of the brochure telling you information on JFK and his work and the service guide to care for your new ballpoint pen.
