This Muses Maria Callas Special Edition rollerball pen by Montblanc is dedicated to one of the most iconic sopranos of the 20th century and an appreciated style icon. With her unique talent and personality, she embodied a certain ideal of the operatic diva during her time. In some of the world’s greatest opera houses, from Milan's La Scala, to the Paris Opera, to New York’s Metropolitan Opera, she was known as “La Divina”, which means the divine one.
The special edition writing instrument highlights one of her favourite colours, turquoise, in the precious resin of both the cap and barrel, while reflecting Maria Callas’s graceful beauty with an elegant silhouette. In memory of her sea-encircled homeland in Greece, the platinum-coated clip is decorated with a matching turquoise stone that is reminiscent of the vibrant colour of the Aegean Sea. A costume detail from one of her recognizable bel canto roles, Bellini’s “Norma”, is resembled in a pattern of laurel leaves surrounding the platinum-coated cone of the edition along with the embossed signature of the celebrated soprano.
