Gill and Danny Panesar opened the Nottingham based Pen Sense store in 1980, stocking brands such as Waterman, Montblanc and Cross. For many years the store has been providing customers with luxury pens, leather accessories and gifts.

Following many successful years in the retail business, Gill and Danny chose to retire in February 2018. The company was bought by Bruce and Jackie Wheeler of Wheelers Luxury Gifts. Bruce Wheeler started Wheelers Luxury Gifts in August 1980 at the age of 22 and over the decades has built up a portfolio of the finest luxury brands offering personnel friendly service located on the high street in the county town of Loughborough, Leicestershire. As the retail landscape changed over the years on the high street Wheelers launched their first web site in the year 2000. Over the years we have redesigned our site many times proudly presenting it as Wheelers Luxury Gifts, offering the finest luxury personalised gifts.

The expansion of the company’s customer base has enabled Bruce’s son, Josh Wheeler to relaunch Pen Sense as part of the Wheelers Luxury Gifts franchise. Starting his own business portfolio offering the same friendly personal service as the flagship store. Pen Sense is not only offering a wider range of products and brands than ever before but also offering personal & corporate engraving as well as gift wrapping.

We have top of the range engraving equipment in the store that is used daily by our trained engravers, which can usually turn around your personalisation request within 24hrs (excluding weekend and bank holidays). We will do our best to make sure that your personalisation is complete swiftly if you require your items within a tight deadline.

The majority of products found on our Website and instore can be personalised in one way or another. Our selection of pens, leather goods, home accessories and more can be personalised with a name, initials, date or message. If you are looking to personalise an item with a longer and more intimate message, a metal plaque can be engraved for the presentation box of your chosen gift.

Gift Wrapping with Pen Sense

Pen Sense has a wide range of gift wrap, cards and bows to suit every occasion. Show the lucky recipient that you care and have gone the extra mile to ensure that every aspect of their gift has been lovingly thought through. Here at Pen Sense, we will gift wrap your item to your specification before we dispatch it and will even hand write a tag or card with your personalised message!

Upon delivery a signature must be given, if you are out or otherwise unable to sign for your goods, the courier will leave a card. It is your responsibility to contact the courier to rearrange delivery.

If you decide to have your item placed in a safe place (by making arrangements directly with the delivery company) when delivered, and the parcel is damaged, lost or stolen, you will be held responsible. If you require to redirect your purchase to an alternative address from the original shipping address given you may incur a £6 handling charge by the courier.

We will despatch on time, but thereafter collection all purchases are in the hands of our couriers and therefore we cannot be held responsible for delays beyond our control which may result in your parcel not being delivered at a specified time. If the delivery time selected at the point of order has not been met by our third party couriers, then all postage costs will be refunded.
